Gi comparison

rather than trying to explain each photo in an email, i figured this would be better.

I have three gis that i will be talking about (all gis are size A1).
My favorite Fenom White Lotus that was purchased several months ago. (will be noted as #1) This gi has been washed in cold and dried in the dryer every time i wear the gi

"Old" Fenom  #1

A new, never worn Fenom White Lotus.  washed and dried once (will be noted as #2)
#2 Washed/Dried Once

A brand new, out of the package, Fenom White Lotus, Never worn, never washed.  (will be noted as #3)
#3 Brand New

I am comparing sizes visually, by placing one gi on top of or next to another.

The first comparison is Gi #1 to Gi #3  The Old with the Brand New
Since I have "shrunk" my old one, I put the #1 on top of #3.

The Second comparision is with #2 and #1  I have place #2 (one wash) on top of #1 (old)
Armpit and sleeve width is a big difference.
The Sleeve length didn't really change, but the width of the sleeve was a significant difference.  The sleeve ended up being nearly skin tight.

The Third comparison is with #2 (one wash) with #3 (brand new).  #2 is on top.

If there are any questions regarding these photos, please let me know.  I don't think that much commentary needs to be made because the photos seemed to speak for themselves.

it is time...

school has started again and, in theory, this is the final stretch for john and i both. we have been working for so long to get finished with school, we don't really know what to do next. it is really strange for us.

all we know is we need to travel. and often. mostly to visit my sister and mikey. we absolutely love hanging with them and we must do it more often.

we just spent the most excellent weekend with becky and mike. they met us in salt lake for labor day. i was so excited, they were able to come and watch me test for my blue belt. and i was even able to talk them both into putting on gis and rolling. it was so wonderful to see her enjoy something of mine. while i was testing, i heard her laughing and it was just like the "old days."

ahh sisters are the best!
